Zen Somatics: Exploring the Consciousness of Felt Experience

In this workshop, participants will explore multiple modalities designed to reveal hidden patterns of conditioning that block us from a full experience of life. Through facilitated Yogic Breathwork, Zen Dialogue, and both guided and silent meditation, participants deepen their awareness of the root causes of past somatic obstacles—what Zen teaching refers to as karma. This opens the door to the realization of the innate wisdom of the body, free of filters and hindrances. No prior Zen experience is necessary to attend.

Led by Roshi Al Rapaport, an authorized Zen teacher with over 50 years of practice, and founder of Open Mind Zen. He is the originator of the Zen Somatics Method—a dynamic integration of yogic breathwork, focused dialogue, and Zen mindfulness meditation—offered worldwide to support deep awakening to one’s True Self. Co-Leader will be Caitlin Ollinger, an Assistant Zen Teacher with Open Mind Zen. Caitlin has trained in a variety of modalities, including Zen koan work, Somatic Experiencing, Embodied Experiential Dreamwork, Craniosacral Therapy and Zen Breathwork.
